RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Giving

• Oversee corporate giving program, including development of a revenue plan and solicitation and stewardship strategies to secure renewal, upgrades and new corporate support

• Collaborate with grants team to secure support from corporate foundations

• Develop communication and engagement strategies to grow partnerships

• Work with program staff to develop and manage volunteer opportunities for corporate employees, including providing onsite support and leadership at group volunteer events

• Lead solicitation and strategy of corporate sponsorships for our major events (Child Care Champions Gala and City Kids Family Fair), ensuring Children’s Council fulfillment of any sponsorship benefits

• Provide dedicated staffing for the Women’s Business Leadership Council (WBLC) and the Associate Board (AB): set meeting agendas in partnership with fundraising staff or WBLC/AB co-chair(s), oversee recruitment and onboarding, maintain all WBLC- and AB-related files, support efforts and activities led by the WBLC and AB, and ensure members of these groups are engaged to support fundraising efforts

• Assist in preparing solicitation and presentation materials to corporate partners

• Provide expertise and support for fundraising staff, Board, WBLC and AB members in cultivating corporate support and engagement through their employers and networks

• Maintain and update corporate partner records in our donor database (Salesforce)

• Develop and administer pledge tracking and invoicing systems, in partnership with Finance Team, to document, monitor and collect on corporate pledges

• Report on corporate fundraising activities and progress against goals

• Research new corporate prospects

• Additional duties as assigned.

 

Strategic Development

• Further develop and pitch our fee-for-service R&R model and other revenue streams (e.g., offer workshops and concierge child care resource and referral services as an employee benefit to corporate partners)

• Research ways that Children’s Council leaders can speak/write/influence business leaders by lifting up the messages about how child care can positively impact our collective economic wellness
